This book is a basic Introduction to Modern Arabic Poetry. A brief historical sketch has been supplied so that the students can understand the dynamics in which Modern Arabic Poetry was revived and the fundamental underlining causes that helped Arab poets to modernize their poetry with regard to its content, style, structure, rhyme and topics. Different literary schools which came into existence in this period have also been briefly discussed.
Nine Poems have been included in this book which would open up a window for the students and beginners to the vast treasure of Arabic Poetry produced by Arab poets in Renaissance and post Renaissance Periods. The poems have been supplied with vowel signs so that any beginner can read them easily. Translation and explanations in Urdu have been provided so that the beginners can delve deeper into the meaning and message of the verses.
Furthermore, the summary of the poems and the biography of the poets has also been added. In order to increase the vocabulary of the students, all the difficult words along with Urdu meaning have been provided at the end of each poem.
